1. If I pay my citation before my assigned court date, do I still have to appear in court?

No. If a citation is paid before your scheduled court date, your court appearance is not required. However, there are fines that require an appearance before the judge. These fines cannot be paid until after your court appearance.

2. What if I am unable to pay my fine by my court date?

If your fine is not paid before your scheduled court hearing, and you do not appear before the Judge on your scheduled court date, a warrant will be issued.

3. Will the violation go on my driving record?

Under Oklahoma law, municipal courts are required to transmit a violation within five (5) days of the final disposition date to the Department of Public Safety. Some offenses do go on your driving record and some do not. For additional questions, contact DPS at (405)425-2059.

4. Can someone else pay the fine for my citation?

If it is a citation that does not require a court appearance. However, you will need to sign the back of the citation beforehand and have them bring the signed citation with them with the payment. Fines may also be paid online or by telephone.

5. Can I obtain a copy of my driving record?

Yes. You may acquire a copy of your driving record at any tag agency.

6. If there has been a warrant issued for my arrest what are my options?

You can either pay with cash, cashier's check, money order or credit card at the Court Clerks office, or turn yourself into the custody of the Woodward Police Department. The Municipal Judge is contacted and will administer his/her judgement at the jail.

7. Once my warrant is paid and closed, how do I reinstate my driver's license?

Once a warrant is closed, the Court Clerk's office will process a release for the suspended driver's license and the defendant will then work with the Department of Public Safety to get the license reinstated.

2. What are the Miniature Golf Course hours of operation and prices?

Miniature Golf course is open seasonally from March 27th through May 17th, 2015 on weekends only. We will open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 P.M. to 10 P.M.

It will open daily for the summer beginning May 20th-September 7th, 2015.
Hours of Operation will be Monday - Friday from 6:00 P.M.-10:00 P.M. and Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M.

1. How do I get a library card?

An individual who lives, works, attends school, or owns property in Woodward County may apply for a library card at no charge. You must provide a picture ID and 1 form of identification verifying your current physical address. Children (18 and under) must be accompanied by a parent, a guardian, or legal caregiver.

2. How many items can I check out at one time?

You may have a total of 8 items checked out on your card. This total may include a maximum of 3 DVDs.

3. How long can I check out library material?

The majority of library items are checked out for a period of 14 days. DVDs have a check out period of 7 days.

4. What are the fines for overdue material?

Fines are $0.10 per item, per day for most items. Audio books, DVDs, and children's kits are $1 per day, per item. Fines for items borrowed from another library are $0.25 per day, per item. Late charges begin at the time the library closes, on the due date, until the item is returned. Fines do not accumulate when the library is closed.

5. How do I renew library material?

Materials can be renewed in person, by phone, or through the online catalog. Items may be renewed twice if there are no outstanding requests. Inter library loan material may be renewed only once for a period of 7 days.

6. How can I place a hold / reserve on a needed item?

For items that are currently available in the library, please call 580-254-8544. The item will be held for you at the front desk. For items that are currently checked out, you can reserve them at the front desk in person or by phone, or you can place a hold online through the library catalog. There is a limit of 2 reserves per person. Once contacted, reserve item will be held for 3 days at the front desk.

7. What can I do if the library does not own the item I want to borrow?

Items the library does not own can often be borrowed from another library through our inter library loan service. There is a limit of no more than 5 requests at one time. The library does charge a return postage fee. If the item is not picked up within 10 days of notification, you will be charged a $5 fee.

1. How can I avoid my water from being shut off?

To avoid a disruption in services it is necessary to have your payment made or an arrangement made by the 20th of each month.

2. What do I do if my water is shut off?

You will have an additional $50 disconnect fee owed plus your current months delinquent bill that will need to be brought up to date. You can make payments during normal business hours, Monday-Thursday: 7:30 am- 5:30 pm and Friday: 7:30 am - 12:00 pm.

If after hours, you will be required to sign an agreement form to pay the next business day before 10:00 am. The form can be signed at the police station. You will owe a $50 disconnect fee, a $50 after hours fee, and your current months delinquent billed amount.

3. What do I need to start new service?

If you are a property owner you will need to bring a copy of your warranty deed and two forms of I.D. There will be a $150 deposit required. If you are renting, you will need to bring a copy of your rental agreement, 2 forms of I.D., and a $200 deposit is required.

4. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, debit card, credit card, or direct drafts. For a direct draft, please come by and to fill out the direct draft form. You may also pay by phone via debit or credit card or pay online at www.cityofwoodward.com.

6. My water bill was more this month. Why?

An increase in water usage can be caused for multiple reasons. Common things around your home to check are running toilets, dripping faucet, sprinklers running or leaking.

7. Where to do I put my trash containers to have them picked up?

Just place your containers either by the curb in front of your home or if you live by an alley just locate the containers on your property beside the alley way.

8. What day will my trash be picked up on?

If you are unsure what the pick up day is for your location, just call us at 580-254-8508 and we will gladly give you your pickup day.

9. What if I need a special trash pick up?

If you need to schedule a special pickup for limbs or garbage, please call our sanitation department at 580-254-8550.

10. How many trash containers am I allowed to have?

You may have as many as you need.

11. Does the City of Woodward rent dumpsters?

Yes, we do. We rent dumpsters to residents by the week for $27.23 or monthly for $108.95. We do not provide commercial dumpsters.
